ドイツ人アーティスト、エイコ・グリンバーグ（Eiko Grimberg）の作品集。テキスト、写真、動画でビジュアルエッセイを制作する作者は、2011年からベルリン宮殿の再建を観察し、ドイツ全体の歴史の一部を成しているこの宮殿に関わる歴史の層が露わになり、変わりゆく建物の構造として書き換えられていく過程を研究した。この再建プロジェクトを通じて作者は、ドイツ帝国から国家社会主義、東西ドイツ、そして統一ドイツという一国家の変遷を解き明かしている。

Eiko Grimberg has been observing the reconstruction of the Berlin Palace since 2011 and conducting research on the associated layers of German history as they are revealed and rewritten into the forms of the changing structure. In the reconstruction project, he exposes the transitions from the German Empire to National Socialism, the FRG and GDR to reunified Germany.
